Venues
Venues are community-created and managed court locations in RallyHub. Any player can add a new venue, and the community keeps venue information accurate and up to date.
Creating a Venue
Any registered user can create a venue from the mobile app or the web. Search for a location using the map search, confirm the pin placement, then add venue details:
- Name and location (required)
- Number of courts
- Indoor or outdoor
- Lighting availability
- Court surface type
RallyHub automatically checks for nearby venues within 150 meters to prevent duplicates. The venue's time zone is set automatically from its coordinates.
Editing Venues
Any registered user can update a venue's amenity information, including the number of courts, indoor or outdoor setting, lighting availability, and court surface type. This community-driven approach keeps venue data accurate over time.
Only the original creator of a venue can change the venue name.
Finding Venues
On the web, you can browse the public venue directory or search by name. Each venue page shows a map, amenity details, and upcoming public events at that location.
On mobile, venues are sorted by distance when location permission is granted. You can also search for venues by name.
Venues in Matches & Events
When creating a match or event, you select a venue to associate with it. Venues also become stamps on a player's passport, marking the locations where they have played.
Events require a venue. The venue's time zone is used for event scheduling, ensuring that start and end times display correctly for all participants.
